FYI....BSL has proven that banning a specific breed of dog does not create safer communities. In many countries where pit bulls (or any other breed for that matter) have been banned, dog attacks have not decreased in number, Instead, the criminals, "dogmen," and irresponsible owners that owned aggressive dogs and never obeyed laws in the first place, simply moved onto to other breeds; german shepherds, dobermans, rottweilers, dogo argentino, etc.
Breed bans unfairly punish responsible owners while irresponsible owners ignore the laws.

I believe that dog fighting is a disgusting and wrong. And I thank whom ever wrote this web site becuase it has helped me a lot with my essay on dog fighting.

We breed high end poodles. Once they ran loose and killed a flock of birds; the whole episode cost about $25000 in fines, replaced birds, and an electric fence. One of us is a plastic surgeon and knows first hand the damage done by a brute dog.The worst was by a cocker spaniel. People need to study compatibility between themselves and breed tendencies rather than want only. We actually SCREEN buyers first! The high price is partly due to the socialization process begun when the pup is a few days old! But people who are cruel are not the type to afford what we have, they are ignorant and low and think it "cool" to have such a beast. Firsthand, I have taken in such beasts and brought them to health and found homes for them. It is not an easy job for the inexperienced however. These people should be prosecuted to the FULL extent of the law, and these laws should be tightened up so they can be enforced. But Ban on species is NOT a viable solution. Just another freedom the state has removed in our overly politically correct, don't let the people think for themselves society. IT IS EDUCATION GIVEN TO CHILDREN THAT COUNTS. WORK FROM THE GROUND UP.

In England Pitt Bull Terriers are completely banned unless you have a lisence and are regestered as an owner for one. They are currently saying that anyone that owns a Stafordshire Bull Terrier must be muzuled and on a leash at all times. I own a full Staff Luna and a cross Staff Billy, they have both been around Children and other dogs all thier lives and have never even shown the tiniest aggresion to anything so we dont have them muzled, But yet me and my partner are always getting stopped and told to have them muzled. Is this whats going to happen to all dogs? Are Dogs going to become a completely Banned animal? Its getting out of hand and needs to be sorted soon.

I think fighting dogs should be banned as more young children are being attacked by them. I have 4 staffies and not once have they bitten me its how the dogs are treated in their household.
